these clearly medieval, not ancient, being minted in the 14th century....however, the style is VERY 11th century bzantine...so probably of interest to you guys.

Ivan Aleksandar, with Mihail Asen IV. 1331- - "1371
Struck circa 1331-1355

Christ, nimbate, standing facing, raising hands in benediction
Ivan and Mihail standing facing, each holding scepter; banner between, stars flanking shaft; monograms around figures.

xxxiv, grosh...was't familiar with the term but I went and looked it up, thanks! I don't think I'm going to get rid of one yet, I was planning on it, but between the two of them, you can kind of visualize what one in good conditon would look like.

ige, about 18 mm or so at the widest point.
