So the obvious is the odd circular ice cream scoop looking gouge out of the back but even more odd is the reverse of that gouge on the obverse.

Another anomaly is the eagles right leg? It looks like it's missing AND it looks like there is detail behind the missing leg?

I really want this to be a mint error cause that would be my first find but if it's just PMD please give your thoughts as to what could have done this!

Could the circular marking be a sort of Brinell hardness testing on the planchet? There is a name for that isn't there? Rock-something...

What do you all think? Also, a disclaimer, these are my first coin photos and posting of images. The quarter is not gold colored it is the color of a regular quarter like in the other two photos.
