Hi everyone, went to a coin show today and found this 1863 Indian Head cent for a good price, and wondered if this would be worth much since it looks to be off center? Here are Pics of front and back. Let me know what you think. No damage just good condition. Thanks Rob

I believe this would be considered a broadstrike instead of off center since it is not missing any of the design. Unfortunately, there appears to be some corrosion on the reverse but it is still an interesting coin nonetheless. If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay?

I only payed $3 for it. I got a 2nd 1863 for $3 also. Just was curious if it would be worth more than that. rob

I am not really familiar with errors so I wouldn't really know the value but I probably would have paid $3 for it.

Ya I was think same thing. $3 for copper Indian head. Picked up an 1877 Indian head too graded ag3 for 250. I thought that was pretty cheap. Graded by Ngc.

IMO, the broadstrike on a coin in that condition won't increase the value much, if at all

I don't think it's broadstruck, I think it is just a Misaligned Die. (MAD)
