What's up with the mint, don't they have quality control any longer?

There would be better strikes in the coin designs weren't so intricate.

As someone posted in another thread, the mint's quality control has gone the way of the dinosaur. I could put it in more colorful terms, but won't.
I haven't seen any 2007 Jeffersons, but my friends who have, report they are very banged up.

I would have to agree that the quality control of our U.S.Mint has gone down hill big time. It is sad that the mints of foreign countries can mint a far better business strike coin for circulation then us, at least that is the way it seems to me.

I hate to say it but the US mint has been putting out junk lately, lacks quality.

Yessir!! Down the drain. It's so pathetically disgusting because pre-80s coins have held up sooo much better than those made even one or two years ago. I usually cringe a little when I am handed any change from anyone, it's really disgusting!!
