So there's a whole bunch of them but instead of making 9 threads all at once I'm just going to put them in here. I'm not even certain half of them are errors, but that's why I'm here :)

#1 "Grease struck nickel"
Some-Possible-Errors

#2 "Weird edge dime"
Some-Possible-Errors

#3 "Weird edge quarter"
Some-Possible-Errors

#4 "Divet dime"
Some-Possible-Errors

#5 "Divet nickel"
Some-Possible-Errors

#6 "double divet quarter"
Some-Possible-Errors

#7 "misaligned center toonie"
Some-Possible-Errors

#8 "flower obverse loonie"
Some-Possible-Errors

#9 "Black obverse loonie"
Some-Possible-Errors

Sorry if this is too many for one post! If 9 threads for 9 coins are preferred over this, let me know.

Hello Jard

Interesting things happening on some of these...the 2007 nickel especially...I'm still learning myself and hopefully someone here can help you out with these.

Thanks for the reply change4thebetter.

I agree, the 2007 nickel was the first of these that caught my eye and definitely the most certain error of the lot. Id love to be able to learn more myself and be able to discern whether these types of things are damage or errors, without the need to ask for help from others. I'm sure that time will come for both of us :) but for now I just need a little help!

Its surprising that there are not many comments to this post. I am new this forum and am amazed with the knowledge of people but it seems like the focus is mostly on pennies or very major errors.

The nickel and dime look interesting. I am hoping one of the experts on this forum will provide some input on that.

BTW is a divet a specifically defined error? I have always thought that when you have a punch hole in a coin it is generally not an error.

The misaligned core with the level of misalignment that is shown is very readily seen in circulation. I just put one back into circulation from 1988.

In terms of the loonies I thought it would be hard to classify them as error given that level of circulation could create those types of artificats

With respect to the nickel there is a similar situation with a toonie in the post titled:

$2 - 1997 Flawed Planchett or PMD?

There is more responses over there. If you have not take a look

#1 - I'd say struck through maybe a piece of metal that found it's way onto the die.

#2 - Looks like a partial collar strike. Nice find if it is.

#3 - Not sure what's gone on there.

#4 - Either PMD or a minor struck through

#5 & #6 - Same as #4

#8 & #9- Stain caused by ?

The more I look at the 5 cents the more I think it is very interesting. It certainly seems like a mint error because if it was PMD then the "5" would have been affected differently. I would say to highlight the effect of #1 you may want to show the area around 5 of this coin besides the same area in a normal coin. I think it will really stand out more.
