I saw an ebay listing that states "1844/81 Large Cent 44 Over 81 Rare Red Book Overdate Coin".

I don't understand what they mean by all that? It looks like a normal Large Cent to me.

Any education would be appreciated.

The date was originally punched upside down, then the coin was repunched the right way. To the right of top of the first "4", you can see a trace of an "8".
