Hello!

I have a couple 2009 pennies.

One of Lincoln's double thumb,
the other penny has some sort of groove/gouge(maybe planchet damage before its cladding?).

Can anyone tell they're worth, judging from the pictures and description?

Penny 1. Lincoln's thumb:
This one has some light corrosion spots and overall the luster has faded(appears it was cleaned),
but all the details are still very fine.
(Bottom left has an area of pits).

Penny 2. Groove/Gouge:
(Reverse side: "Lincoln's log". Formative Years in Indiana.)

It would seem that if this was a scratch/gouge, the under laying core metal would show through
and the edges would have been raised(flared upward) a bit, but no zinc is visible and no raised edge.
What else could have caused such a clean groove after cladding?

...any info would be great!

Thank you! :)

Very nice! The double thumb is knowing about. The clash I don't know.

To be honest, Someone might of made that by taking the coin and putting it inside of something.

The Doubling thumb is worth like 5 USD.

The first coin is nice. I've tried to find the varieties like this, but couldn't. The second coin looks like a PMD to me.
Rest in Peace

The first coin exhibits one of the 100 or so known 2009P doubled die reverses. I agree that the gouge on the second coin is PMD.

The second is just damage.
