I would like to see larger pictures before I say MS-67 but looks at least MS-66. Exceptional coin.

Caveat - if these are seller photos from an ebay shop like Great Southern they use all kinds of photographic tricks to hide flaws.

Are these your own or seller photos ? If so, who is seller ?

I am asking your ballpark grade with the tape mark on the reverse (main concern) for when I put it up for sale, if I do. I'll probably get it authenticated and graded first.

Fields are great looking except for the tape mark as you mentioned. I think that may give it an UNC details grade unfortunately.

That is what I am worried about. Would that kind of thing cause a details grade? Env damage?

Update; http://www.pcgs.com/nogrades.html

I don't think the coin falls under any of these categories. Correct me if I am wrong, but it doesn't have any excessive dark toning or damage, or no "film" intended to hide underlying surfaces.

It looks like it could easily grade MS65. A PCGS MS66 sold for $49,000 a couple years ago on Heritage.

Acetone will normally remove tape residue but I would be hesitant to even try that on a potentially 5 figure coin.

It has to be graded and authenticated to achieve maximum auction potential. NCS would be worth considering if the residue is strong.

BH1964, thank you for your advice!

Well I hope it grades at least 64! If I send it in, and it nogrades, I'll try NCS! Good suggestion.

I hope it doesn't come to that.

BUT PLEASE, Keep the opinions coming! The more the merrier!
