Interesting the listing says that it is proof set but it is proof-like set. I have not seen any 2013 loonies in change.
I thought the doubling was because of die problems. So I am wondering if these proof-like sets did not include the first runs of the loonies or that the die might be deteriorating early.

I thought I would take a look at my 2013 set up close and I am seeing double too! I wonder how many are like this?   |

Seems to be a bit of this going on.Both sides of my coin.   Edited by littlemoney

You are correct this proof like set. My quest is to find out how many of this issue were issued. I got mine from the RCM. over the counter they were normal for doubling but have some minor issues I am checking. I have one set for sale on ebay with photos of the coins and set. I am holding 2 other sets that are doubled to varying degrees. |

The mint no longer makes proof like sets. 2010 was the last year for proof like. Now they are simply uncirculated sets.  |

I have 4 sets without doubling. 3 with doubling. you and I are trying to find out the percentage of each. The beading is doubled where the lettering is doubled.

the 3 sets I found were near the last issue of the unc set. 74,500 +

Check the obverse of the twoonie as well, it is doubled, but not as strongly.
Since the coins in these sets are made in Winnipeg, it will be interesting to see if any of the normal business strikes for 2013 have this hub doubling. Maybe it was intentional, after all, that doubled loon is the ONLY way I would have coughed up $25 for a coin set worth about $5 in reality....
