Check this out--a doubled E firstly, then another I smashed on top of the E!
Maybe a re-punched I on the E--note the metal shard bottom left of the E.
The D and the I are also doubled.
Could something like this qualify as a new variety? I have seen it on other 20 cent coins.

between the watermarks covering most of the details, and all the PMD, its going to be hard for anyone to comment.
