Can someone explain to me how she possibly has picture and pre selling coins that most never heard of? I've seen them so I know it's real but how is she allowed... Share your opinion or thoughts on this seller. http://shop.ebay.com/merchant/karlyshannon

She has pictures and she has access to ebay so she took pictures, added text and put them on sale ;-)) Who's permission she's supposed to get?

She got the pics from the post office and nothing wrong with pre-selling as long as she follows through and gets coins to people. If others want to buy them now it's their right to pay the inflated price who are we to argue how people spend their money.

Everybody call me negative, but I call it like it is. If the mint is stupid enough to allow the Post Office to send out catalogs before their product release then they should expect their products to get leaked. This is just common sense. Makes no sense to have a moratorium on punishing images when they are publicly available.

Your right dooby it should make no difference the images are out there so they should be allowed here but not my call.Post office should not be given a hard copy of pic early and they are definetly not allowed to let people take pics of them early says so right on brochure but this will continue the way it is

I bought some coins from Karly. Very nice person, the communication with her was clear and informative.
At the end I've got exactly as was expected and described.
What exactly can prevent from someone to take pictures from the CP catalog, and then pre-sale the coins?
In bottom line: On basis of the previous purchases, I wouldn't afraid to buy coins from her.

It's kind of annoying how people are talking about these coins and they've seen them in some catalog in a public place, but the images aren't allowed to be shown to the rest of us.

Nobody is blaming the seller or insinuating she is in any way being fraudulent. You can order these item right now from the post office so most likely she will have product to ship. The fault here lie with the mint and Canada Post. Just putting some word in a catalog won't stop people from scanning it or from taking photos. It's awfully naive to think so (that refers to Canada Post, not us) I have a beautiful image of the butterfly coin I would post, and since it was obtained from ebay I should be able to do so. I'm just not sure how it would go over. Technically I'm publishing something that should not have been copied.

I was at Canada Post on Monday and the only person who had the ordering catalog was the manager. Normally that person wouldn't show it to anyone. However, because I have a good relationship, I was able to browse through it and just digest what I saw. No pictures or notes were allowed.

@jsinger21 How many CP outlets are in Canada? Every single one has the catalog, go to the next location for a better look. Any details you want refreshed?

You have to remember one thing, Some postal outlets, like here in Ontario, are privately owned. It just requires one unscrupulous person to bring down the whole house of cards. I can understand the post office sending out catalogs to help individual stores to order stock and its obvious these images are not for the public. The problem is controlling the information. Generally in automotive circles if a magazine publishes information early the moratorium gets lifted. Once the images are out there is no taking them back.

Hi coin_games,
I went to another location beforehand after reading someone had scanned photos of the catalog before removing it. When I went to the first post office near my house, the manager said it was off limits. He told me that he was ordering from his post office and people can view the coins when they arrive. The second post office where I know the manager only allowed me to view it and not do anything else.

She is taking a chance by stating 'Pre-sale, will be shipped April 15th'. I don't have that much faith in the Mint keeping any future ship dates - any more. Based on that, I think any buyer would be able to back out of any arrangements made with her.
