Ah, live and learn. I spent a 16D Mercury dime the other day in MS66 condition with full bands. At least, that's what the PCGS slab said.

I fail to see any silver in this Chinese cash, nor would I expect to. A slight mis reporting in terms of silver.
Bronze cash coins were the only types cast and issued at this time. They are only scarce, and certainly not rare.

In the year of 1400, the Ming Dynasty Emperor was Ch'eng Tsu, his personal name was Chu Ti, and his reign title was Yung-le.
