Id say hes doing pretty well if he can tie up that much money in one coin lol.

I cant help but wonder two things,
The first is how much shipping cost for that baby and the 2nd being if the buyer is going to ask him not to leave feedback so you cant see the ID of who bought it

If I sold something for that much, I would personally drive it to them.

I am left with the idea that the only reason why this piece would appear on ebay is for cheap advertising purposes.
Normally, a coin in this price bracket would have been offered to a targeted private customer.

I would think that with this type of up market company that is into promoting investments to rich people, is that you are advertising to a select market within the coin collecting community.

Innovative, subtle and targeted advertising.

Definitely a very very small customer base for coins of that price. My guess is that coin was listed on several sites/auctions and buyers can just buy it from wherever they want.

Ebays definitely a good way to get people talking about it though

I am speechless. Did someone actually pay that much money for something on ebay? I bought some normal bullion gold on ebay and people were looking at me like I am crazy.

I would have contacted RCW's instead of bidding. You know what the ebay fees would be!
It is nice they offer free shipping :P

It would have been way funnier if the guy charged him $2.99 for shipping.

and (s)he overpaid ;

Still mighty mighty nice! I think that I would be afraid of transporting it!
