I've been seeing this "deal" repeatedly offered on ebay:

I'm finding it difficult to comprehend the prices these "dollar store" items are fetching.

Agree they are probably $ store items/tourist pieces - it's just how it's marketed on ebay and the availability of this stuff to some folks. That or the buyers have no idea...

Yes they are tourist souvenir items and his description shows that he knows this. (But he still starts it ridiculously high.) The rest of the run up is from buyers who don't have a clue and who think they are getting a "deal".
