The shiny nature of it and the curious bust style make me think this one is a modern reproduction - probably isn't silver.

Also, I've never seen that style used on a n ancient reverse - the deity named across the two fields. Perhaps its a fantasy piece for educational purposes.

I'm having a hard time IDing who it is. The coin looks too good to be true, not even a slight bit of wear is visable.

yes it looks perfectly clean (almost new).

The real 'give away' is it does not even look like Aelius ! I would not pay more than $2 for it as a curiousity.

Ben, you can't just post links to the FORVM fake database as they come up from the search results page; the links expire as soon as someone else does a search there. You have to press the "i" button and use the URL qouted there. In this case, the URL you need for an exact die match is:

http://www.forumancientcoins.com/fa...hp?pos=-4958

Sorry, Lenard, while some ancient coins can look "really clean" like this and still be genuine, this one is not. It's another Bulgarian fake.

Thanks for the heads up on the links guys. The Forvm fakes database is a bit trickier than it looks!

Is it this one?.

What does it mean when the back is the same but the head is facing left instead of right?.

Is it the nose and the eyes that gives it away?.
