I have bought quite a bit of silver over the past year and would like to start looking at gold. Of particular interest are the Libery and St. Gaudens in MS64 or better.

What I'm wondering is where should I be looking? I have been focusing most of my searches on ebay where I can look over the past month to see where coins have been selling. I have always heard that ebay is the best place to sell because of the exposure but as a buyer like myself, will I overpay using ebay? Are there cheaper sources?

Good deals are often available through the various coin forum's Buy-Sell-Trade threads. I have also purchased from APMEX and ebay.

If you're strictly looking for gold as a commodity and not overly concerned with "high-end for the grade" then APMEX has very competitive pricing on gold coins.

There are also other online sources such as like Tulving, Provident Metals, etc. I would start with APMEX certified U.S. gold coinage based on what you posted.
