I hate seing threads with no responses so I'll have a go.

I think the reason you're not getting responses is that Europeans, who would be the much bigger market for these, in general, just aren't interested in slabbed coins or that particular form of grading.

Again, in general, value is going to be for whatever a nice uncirculated coin reaches. If you can find a US buyer they may pay more for the slab and certification that that brings, in general, Europeans won't.

Thank you for the response.
I understand about what you are saying about premiums for slabbed coins. However, these are proofs (except for the Greek 30d) so with the lower mintage numbers vs. normal circulation strikes I would at least expect a premium, or is that not the case?
We have sold a few to Euro collectors via e-Bay in the $80-$100 range (shipping not included). These have been for Austrian and German proofs.
We are just trying to get an understanding what is the market paying for these types of proofs? I can understand deducting a slab premium (I buy the same way) that someone is trying to figure into a price, unless the coin is rare.
Your perception is that Euro collectors price this as a high UNC commem. and don't take into consideration the slab/grade and whether it's a proof?
Thanks.

As a rough guide the 2009 ANK (Austria netto katalog) gives the following values:
66 25 Schilling = euro 58.00
66 50 Schilling = euro 58.00
63 50 Schilling = euro 145.00
67 50 Schilling = euro 58.00
63 25 Schilling = euro 87.00

Slabbing is of little interest to European collectors. Likewise the miniscule differences in the numerical assessment. A proof is a proof.

Side note - the 5 DM coin ("M" would indicate GDR coinage) from 1971 is not about "reunification" but about the 100th anniversary of 1871 when the Deutsches Reich was founded. As for TPG, I agree with austrowiki - collectors here in Europe who are interested in US coinage may (have to ;) ) deal with slabs and the like, but otherwise they are not common.

Yes Christian, I found out when I researched that commem. that it was not about reunification and changed the listing in my file. NGC labeled it as Reunification on the slab, and that is why I first listed it as Reunification.

Today I purchased a copy of the 2013 ANK

Here are the current values for those Austrian coins Despite the change in Silver price there has not been that much movement in value since 2009:

66 25 Schilling = €60.00
66 50 Schilling = €60.00
63 50 Schilling = €145.00(no change makes me think it might be over valued)
67 50 Schilling = €60.00
63 25 Schilling = €90.00
