I understand about what you are saying about premiums for slabbed coins. However, these are proofs (except for the Greek 30d) so with the lower mintage numbers vs. normal circulation strikes I would at least expect a premium, or is that not the case?
We have sold a few to Euro collectors via e-Bay in the $80-$100 range (shipping not included). These have been for Austrian and German proofs.
We are just trying to get an understanding what is the market paying for these types of proofs? I can understand deducting a slab premium (I buy the same way) that someone is trying to figure into a price, unless the coin is rare.
Your perception is that Euro collectors price this as a high UNC commem. and don't take into consideration the slab/grade and whether it's a proof?
