For this smackdown we want to see two coins which are connected in some way. This can be:
geographically (same mint perhaps) diety represented/reverse type A relationship between the monarch/emperor/spouse etc some other connection that can be explained.
Entries close Friday evening and voting begins Saturday (GMT)
Good luck all :)

My very 'nice pair' ....... or is it pear ? CARACALLA AE32 PISIDIA ANTIOCH Roman Colonial Obv. Draped and laureled bust of Caracalla right PIVS AVG ANTONINVS Rv. Nike striding left holding laurel wreath and palm branch VICTORIAE DDD NNN COL AN with S R in fields either side of Nike 31-32mm 22.94 grams GETA AE33 PISIDIA ANTIOCH Roman Colonial Obv. Laureled bust of Geta right IMP CAES P SEPT GETA AVG Rv. Nike striding left holding laurel wreath and palm branch VICT DD NN COL ANTIOCH with S R in fields either side of Nike 32-34mm 25.01 grams While obviously minted several years apart (Geta is older than Caracalla) we have same City Pisidia Antioch (geography) Same reverse type Victory walking in the same direction (diety .... some varieties have her walking right). Similar 'artistic style' (same die cutters ?) Same family (brothers) with the same title (AVG) Same denomination (orichalcum 'sestertius') and by the condition (almost the same) of each I would venture a 'guess' that they came from the same hoard (same previous owner!) I might add that I bought them from the same 'dealer' on the same same day and for the same price ($75 ea)! I am out of breath
