For this smackdown we want to see two coins which are connected in some way. This can be:

geographically (same mint perhaps)
diety represented/reverse type
A relationship between the monarch/emperor/spouse etc
some other connection that can be explained.

Entries close Friday evening and voting begins Saturday (GMT)

Good luck all :)

While obviously minted several years apart (Geta is older than Caracalla) we have same City Pisidia Antioch (geography) Same reverse type Victory walking in the same direction (diety .... some varieties have her walking right). Similar 'artistic style' (same die cutters ?) Same family (brothers) with the same title (AVG) Same denomination (orichalcum 'sestertius') and by the condition (almost the same) of each I would venture a 'guess' that they came from the same hoard (same previous owner!) I might add that I bought them from the same 'dealer' on the same same day and for the same price ($75 ea)! I am out of breath

these two coins I posted a while back are physically connected to each other, and have been for .....who knows...maybe hundreds of years. they are fused together by river sediment.
