Hi this is my first post, hope I'm doing everything right :)

I need help to Identify a coin, here is how and where I found it.

Finding
I live in Denmark, and was walking around a construction site. It is on a grassy hill, pretty close to the center of the town. They where removing some of the dirt, and I walked through the site around 6pm after the workers had left. I noticed the coin. It was around 20cm beneath the ground, that I found it.

Dimensions
Diameter = 1.9cm

Here is a picture, it's showing the two sides. And the last one is the real color, without the light from the lamp.

The image is not as good as I had hoped, but I can read what it says.

On one side, there is a cross. The text around it is "**NETAL* ECEN S 1559" the * is letters I can't read/see.

On the other side, there is a two headed eagle. With the text around "**PERIAL**SCIVI*" The rest is unreadable :(

Hope you guys and girls can help me out, thanks for your help :)

I believe the reverse legend is CIVITAS IMPERIALIS, and on the obverse, MONETA LVBECENS, for the city of Lübeck, in Germany. Here's a similar example of a witten, until I can find a better one:

Ok, this Lübeck sechsling comes much closer:

Those should be the arms of Lübeck over the cross. Denmark's not far from there; do you recognize the coat of arms?

Wow thanks guys, you really are great at this :o

Philadelphian: Yes, that one looks exactly like the one I found, I have never seen the coat of arms though, atleast not in Denmark. But the double headed eagle reminds me of the Holy Roman Empire court of arms.

That is the Imperial eagle of the Holy Roman Empire, with the older, white-over-red Hanseatic shield of Lübeck on its chest. The two-headed eagle with this smaller shield have been the arms of Lübeck since about 1450.
