I been collecting coins for awhile. But every time I get Lincoln cents that don't have marks you can see with the human eye, right away I want to save them. Is this a normal thing to do? I started like a week ago with this habit... hard to let any Lincoln cents go now. I have like 20 I just kept today. Was going over 300 pennies. I found 2 wheat cents though. I don't like the 2012 ones much because the color they have is ugly. I like the coins when they tone a little. I found some crazy no marks 1970s and 80s. I put them into my folders. Perhaps I found two nice rainbow ones.

If this is normal and not getting too weird, I'm going to buy a box of pennies and make rolls of them that have no marks that the human eye can see. ( plus take all copper out)

*Tomorrow I SHOULD be uploading three coins that might be errors or just PMD. 1993-P dime with large rim and no tracks on the edge. 1980-P dime with a line over the zero. 2005 penny might be just a mark or double die. The 5 might have light double. I haven't scanned them yet so I can't say 100% they not PMD. So don't get your hopes up.*

Well, the link is up for the strange coins.

Perhaps, I should of maybe said this too, The coins I also been keeping were mostly 2005's to 2011's that have a nice color and great grade. Under 1969 I put them in 2x2 holders because I feel they worth it. I know one day they might be worth a few bucks in MS something. Anyway I collecting the coins I like. I pretty much like any coin.

I don't put any Lincolns in holders unless they are in insanely good shape. I keep nice looking 1970s and older cents in tubes and make rolls of them when I get 50.

I have a few 1 gallon glass pickle jars that I put 'nice' Zincolns into fairly regularly.
Probably 5 or 10 a week.

I keep all my copper, but they go into seperate containers.
Nice copper is kept in yet another container.

Then I have a big 5 gallon size container for my "spenders"
(Change that has no redeemable value over face.)
Those go to the change machine in my bank (no fee) sooner or later.

Thanks for the inputs, I just wanted to really know how to save them :)

I won't be putting more in my 2x2's unless they super great. I keep all copper and been saving my nickels.
