I found a tiny box in my closet that contained 27 Proof Memorials from 60-2001. Each is in a little capsule. I'd completely forgotten about them, but when I saw them I was reminded that I'd never found a way to display them in a way that was pleasing to me. I like the capsule. It seems to protect. 2X2's darken the coin so I can't enjoy the luster very well. Same with Dansco and Littleton, the plastic slide darkens and hides the detail of the coin. So I was wondering if anyone made an album that would work with capsules? I've looked on Wizard and didn't see anything, but maybe I'm not looking in the right place.

I'm absolutely open to comments and suggestions! BTW, if you have a better idea than the capsules, something that I could see through clearly and enjoy the coin, I'd love to hear about it!

Thanks in advance!!

I heard somewhere once where someone measured the diameter of their air-tite for their Lincoln cents, figured out which Dansco album had holes the closest diameter, and bought blank pages in that size. They took the acetate sliders out of the pages, the air-tites were inserted and basically wedged in place, and voila! I have no idea where I saw it though so sorry if that sounds like a "My mother's coworker's friend's neighbor's nephew's dog said..." story, but it may be worth looking into.

Skyshark, that's a great idea, thanks!! This has possibilities!

Anyone else got an idea? Heard and idea? ...even from the neighbor's nephew's dog?

Cointains increase the diameter of the coin by a small amount. For example on a penny the increase is about 1mm. You almost can't tell that they are there though. Perhaps theres a way to slightly bore out the holes in a Dansco? I've been looking for something to display coins in Cointains for a while but haven't had any luck. The downside on small coins is they are kinda a pain in the buttocks to use!

Stev18, is this what you're referring to http://www.air-tites.com ? If so, they have pages for these holders which sounds great. Only down side is that the pages don't have any writing on them, so I guess I'd have to do that myself.

Hawkeye, those are certainly a great option! I think those cost about $.50 a piece for the holder and I'm not sure how much for the page. What I am referring to are Coin-tains which are pictured below. They are very small and really don't obstruct the view of the coin at all. I paid $.27 each for them.

I love the Kointainers.
You can't even really see them on a silver colored coin with the naked eye.
You can see them on copper a bit better due to the contrast, but they are
still VERY thin and unobtrusive to the coin. I want a Dansco sized for these.
