1975-1-Cent-Thread-In-Punch?

Can you tell if this line is a thread in the punch or a old scratch?

Part of the line looks to be incuse (scratch)
Other part (upper) of the line it is hard to say.
You having the coin in hand could better tell if the line
is raised or sunken. If it was struck through it would be imbedded most likely into the surface of the coin. Going by what I see in the separation (trench) of the line that it is just a scratch. PMD
Rest in Peace

Yes, a gouge, seems "u" shaped. The line follows the contour of the jacket and wraps around the rim by 1mm~. In the thickest section of the line I can see a pattern of oval indentations. Yet, the tapering of the line, at top, may mean this is a scratch.

Not sure it's Struck through wire. No blunt edge on the line. Also, the top edge of the rim has a faint line that is perfectly inline with the line in question.
