The surfaces on that one are funny looking. I would stay away from it

Agreed. If the coin surfaces look in hand like they look in the photo, I would steer clear. The mint mark does not look right either.

That penny is fake. The S looks wrong and in the wrong position.

Check it out on the PCGS counterfeit link here: http://www.pcgs.com/News/Counterfei...incoln-Cents

I want one badly but this is a fools penny.

Detail is not sharp, indicating a copy from an original.
It is possible that not even the seller knows this.
Compare with coop's various pictures of the dates and the VDB: note how sharp they are by comparison.

I would grade it VF from the pics. With a F grade valued in Red Book at $1050 & the seller asking only $450, my guess is the seller knows it's a fake. JMHO.

You could always take it to a dealer for another opinion.

1955 double die can be worth some large amounts of money. But the thing is, you should buy a coin graded by a third party if planning on buying an error coin or something worth a lot. Like that Wheat cent you just posted does look strange. I would pass on buying it.

I don't know if it's a fake or not but the surface doesn't look right. I would stay away from it!
Rest in Peace
