Hello and welcome.
Tokens like this are often very difficult to identify as to time and place of issue. But as it turns out, I can help you with this one, because some of the members of my coin club have done research into "value-stated" tokens (that is, tokens that have a value stamped on them - in this case, "1/-" meaning one shilling) that come from Queensland, and this is one of them. The token is stamped "GTC", the initials for the "Gympie Turf Club". The fellow that did the research on these tokens comes from Gympie, so you can be fairly certain that this is indeed the origin.
Unfortunately, the folks that catalogued these items were more interested in recording the known types and varieties, rather than giving any indication of rarity or value. But value-stated tokens like this, from known locations, typically sell for $20 to $50 at local dealers.

Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis
