Yes, 75 pounds is a lot to go through. I take my time and look at each and every coin. I start by sorting coins by decade. This bag was easy, as it was only 1940-1958. I toss all the 40'2 in one small container, and the 50's in another small container. Once I have filled either container. I take that container and split them by mint mark using 3 more of the same sized container. And continue the process until one of the mint mark containers is full. Once one of them is full I sort that container by year in my sort tray. After I have sorted that entire container by year. I search all the coins one year at a time. Using this method allows me to pick up on the differences easier, because I am only looking at coins from the same year and mint. Here is a photo of one of the containers, and another of my sort tray.
