ANACS has been super hard in grading since last summer. I hate fingerprints on pennies, but otherwise this looks nice to me. ebay error pennies are selling high right now, but come tax time, bids will proabably drop. If you sold it on ebay before taxes are due $40-?. Just my gut feeling; a group of ANACS error pennies sold yesterday from pennylanecoins, for 80-220% of copper coins values. If you try to sell this coin, get some microscope photos to go with the photos you posted.

Quote: I'm happy with the attribution, but I'm a little disappointed with the final grade. I knew it would come back with a details grade, but felt it would grade higher than 60 It has been my experience that ANACS ☼ NEVER ☼ lists a Details grade above 60. If albertharris thinks ANACS is hard on grading (which I also believe), he should check out one of their customers facebook comments where this person submitted 2 gold coins and received both back as being "CLEANED", he then cracked them out and submitted both coins to PCGS, receiving both back in PCGS holders with no mention of either coin being cleaned. This tells me that either PCGS is lax on grading cleaned coins, or, someone will have a big payday purchasing ANACS certified gold as cleaned, then crack out and send to PCGS.

Just other examples of the ongoing problem about no set standards with the TPGs. After all, if they all graded exactly the same way, why would you chose one over another? As I've complained about b4, it's, as in most things, all about the Benjamins. If a TPG can give the submitter what they want, they'll get more submissions. It's that simple.

The priceguide at Coppercoins lists an MS60 @ $50.
This coin is now up for auction here. $50 starting bid.
Heck, I found it in a 1000-count bag and paid $.045 + tax for it. It cost me less than $12 to have it slabbed. I don't collect errors, but I do enjoy finding them. If I can't get $50 for it, I'll hang onto it.
Thanks for all the help.

I wouldn't buy it at any for more then $10 because of its damage and I don't think you'll get 50$ for it.

Many coins listed on ebay at a starting price that's the min. you'll take for it don't sell. Start it at $.99 and have some major high feedback coin dealers bid on it, then low feedback novices go crazy trying to outbid each other, gets the best price. Of course, if few bid on it, you could not get what you wanted. $50 starting price, probably a little high; hope I'm wrong!

In MS63+ this DDO sells for $200+ With MS60 details I would try it at $50. Where is it up at? Can you get detail shots of LIBERTY or the date? That might help.
