I'm not a huge fan of buying raw coins off of ebay because of the fear of being scammed. However, in order to get some of the coins that I wanted at a reasonable price I eventually settled on purchasing an 1831 Capped Bust Half Dime and an 1875s Twenty Cent Piece raw over the past couple of months. I'm really only concerned with the authenticity of the coins and wanted the community to be the judge. Below are some photos of the two coins. The 1831 Capped Bust Half Dime weighs 1.23 grams and the 1875 Twenty Cent Piece weighs 4.75 grams. The Twenty Cent Piece feels so light! edit- Half Dime ...not half dollar

They look fine in my opinion. The 8 on the Half Dime took a serious hit. Bust half/dimes are very hard to come by problem free, and then they get expensive.

Thanks for the reply. I always second guess my purchases.
