IBGolden Pillar of the Community Canada 598 Posts	Posted 03/21/2013 9:52 pm Actually, it looks like it was mounted/soldered as a jewellery piece at one time... also visible on the edges. That would also explain the heavy wear... jewellery is most often polished up, and being rubbed while being worn. I can't discern a mintmark below the hooves, and the date... well, a British half Sovereign is worth it's weight in gold. Report this Post to the Staff
