I've been trying to find some information regarding this token I have. I found 2 references on Google. One was from Artfact that showed an auction in 2001. Unfortunately there wasn't a picture of it but the description was accurate. The second reference was in google ebooks that was an auction listing from 1879. Again the description was accurate but had no other information. Does anyone have any information regarding this token?

Very pretty, very early token. Seems "Haase's Park" in the German-speaking immigrant area of Illinois, was converted to a cemetery in the 1870's, which gives us a terminus ante quem. And a beautifully-executed rabbit to echo the name Haase/Hase, German for "hare," as in the German stewed rabbit dish made famous in Bugs Bunny cartoons: Hasenpfeffer.
Can't find it in tokencatalog.com, though, but

The auction in 2001 was by Stephen P Alpert. I see he has written many books on tokens among other things. There was a number MB E10 used. Does that ring any bells as far which catalog it may be found in?
Yum on the Hasenpfeffer!

Here's some more history of the place. Sounds like this token may be of interest to Chicagoans of German descent.

That is really good reading. I assume the token was made between late 1850's -1872. To narrow it down I would also assume the token was made during the 1860's because of the hoarding of coins and possible use of the rail spur that was added to bring people out to the park. Fascinating history!
