Hey all.

Hope someone can help me find info on a medal I found while digging a hole.
I tried to take a pic of it but my camera isn't that good.

On one side is a revolutionary solider standing in front of a stars and stripe shield with the words American Bicentennial and the dates 1776-1976.
The other side has the words Monroe Doctrine and has a portrait (Monroe I guess) the date Dec.1823, an eagle and a partial map of the United States.
The medal is about 1 1/2 inches and I'm guessing tin because there is a little rust though I got no idea but it has no weight to it..

Here's the same shield obverse, with the Liberty Bell on the reverse. Looks like this is one of a series.

Found more tokens in the same hole.. going to have to buy a medal detector I think... Might find something that's worth something, or a bunch of junk lol
