This was in a box of World coins that I picked through today at a coin shop. I am not sure if it is from an old cleaning or just toning but the darker area is a pretty blue, I just can't manage to get the picture to show it. It's officially my oldest Canadian cent.

With the amount of wear on the headband of the crown, and the flattened edges of the leaves on the reverse, I suspect that it may have been cleaned,

The obverse on the 1911 coins are known as "Godless Obverse" because that year the Latin phrase "DEI GRATIA" (grace of God) or the abbreviation "DEI GRA" was omitted from the new tooling. The public termed the coin "Godless" and criticism convinced the mint to add "DEI GRA" back into the legend for the 1912 mintage.
