I am new in collecting banknote.

I go to a local coin shop today and find a set that quite interesting to me.

This box set includes 2 different Canadian Banknote. One is the $5 Note. The other is $10 Note. The interesting part is they have the same exact series number.

Question: Is this set worth to collect? What is the market value for it?

Thank you all!

Are you referring to the "Lasting Impression Sets"?

Canada Post were dumping these sets below issue price. They were selling the $5 last impression sets for $19.95 and the $10 sets for $29.95 plus applicable taxes.

Thanks Canadian-Banknotes and Coinplus

Yes this is the set I am talking about. Do you know where can I find this set at issue or lower than issue price?

I've seen them at colonial acres , they have the five dollar set on ebay. I bought the $10 set from them for $30. A few months they had a set sell for a $100. They have both sets in their regular store. I also saw the sets at Canadian Coin and currency. I don't know prices. I really like my ten dollar set, very nice presentation , with presentation booklet. Rox
