I had this listed for sale, it didn't really capture much attention. I know I had it listed for a bit too much but I was expecting offers and got 1 for $10.00|(insulting!)
I am curious what other sellers would do. Would you $0.99 no reserve list this or hold out for top dollar @ buy it now?
According to my Charlton Edition 7.....under Tips for Collectors, page 320
Specimens of all denominations of the 1922 issue are readily available. Significant quantities came on the market in 2004 - 2008, particularly of the $10 denomination.
CCC graded notes are done by Steve Bromberg. It is his own in-house grade. He was selling a lot of these notes on the Home Shopping Channel for around $199.95.
I can't say I lost money because I got it as part of a lot but I can say I am rather disappointed. I expected it to be much more valuable, oh well live and learn.
They range from $190-240 for the $10.00 notes and I couldn't find one graded gem 65. I will no reserve it and be happy if I get those numbers. Who knows I watched a member of this site get somewhere in the rage of $150.00 for a '37 silver dollar.
