Has anybody been able to put an entire Jefferson nickel collection together just from coin roll hunting. I'm missing a 38S 41S 42D and S 44D and S 46D 49S 50P and D 51S 55P and a 2009P the rest I have put together from coin roll hunting.

I have heard of people putting together a whole set before, however, I haven't been able to. However, one reason could be because I am doing a 1938-1961 set instead of recent.

A few years back quite a few forum members had done it. You may want to check out the nickel searchers thread.

Several sets. Just the 50P on the next, having knocked of the '50D & '39D in about a month. I've rolls of most other dates. A '62-'95 is still doable in UNC or better around here. The '09s are out there, for sure. It's just hit or miss.

I just completed mine about 2 months back with an AU '50-D. Now to build a complete AU-MS set from circulation... that's a real challenge.

I did it minus the 43s which I got from my dad, but have since found several. I was in a hurry to do it and didn't take long.

I did finish two sets from circulation around 2009-2010.

I filled my Dansco 7113 with all circulation coin roll hunted finds. I have since upgraded them all to BU. I should have bought a second album and made a circulation set but instead, I cashed in the 70's and newer and rolled the 60's and older and put them away for a rainy day.

Congratulation's to everyone who has completed there collection and good luck to everyone still trying to complete them. I did some quick math and for every 1950 D that was minted 720 1964 D's were minted.

Quote: Im just missing two, the 1950D and 1939D and 1945 D You mean three? Anyway, I'm only doing the 1938-1961 set right now but I'm getting pretty close. I need 9 more to completely fill the folder and none of them are easy. 1938-D, 1938-S, 1939-D, 1939-S, 1943-D, 1944-D, 1944-D, 1949-S, and the granddaddy of them all, the 1950-D.
