I recently got Kevin Flynn's new book "The Authoritative Reference on Franklin half dollars".

Its a great book with alot of good info on varieties, errors, RPM, doubled dies, you name it...

There are some really great photos of the die clash which creates the "Bugs Bunny" variety. Just wanted to post the photos and share with anyone interested in Franklins!

These are caused by die clashes. I've always wondered what the fascination with these are? They are from clashed dies.

Marketing, IMHO that is the fascination.

Personally, I think some look pretty neat and hope to get one (but refuse to pay the premium).

Marketing drives a lot of prices on stuff that isn't acceptable in my book. I'd make a list, but even that is a waste of time.

I'm confused... Marketing? It's a common variety/die clash. Nothing earth shattering.
I simply thought some others would enjoy the photos. Nothing more, nothing less.
