to the Community!

I moved your welcome post to the 'Canadian Coins, Bank Notes, and Paper Money' forum for the proper attention.

I find these websites to be awesome resources
http://www.coincommunity.com/canadi...abeth_ii.asp & http://www.coinsandcanada.com/coins...ts-1953-2013
It would appear that you would want to save all of the cupronickel nickels, the steel ones, which you presumably don't want, (see the exceptions on the websites) stick to a magnet, hope it helps!

Samsate,

I agree with your list, except 2001 (no P).
Both 2001 (no P) and 2001 P are fairly common in circulation.

Agreed that they are still easily found.... I still pull them. I only get, on average, 1 a box and to date have only really found 3 worth keeping...AU condition. Find a no P in MS 63 to 64 and you are looking at a $25 to $75 coin. 2001p at best would give you a $25 coin in MS65. I still think its worth watching for.

Then there is if you want a 2001 no p with 20 million minted or the 2001 P with over 146 million minted. [:0]

I also pull the 2001 o P if they are in decent condition. They are no where near as uncommon as the 2000P but still a bit on the scarce side. If they are trashy...I just set them free again. I have a few rolls set aside. You never know what will happen in 50 years. :)
