What should one expect to get for this coin? It is pretty well struck for a new Orleans Morgan, and has some nice toning. I dont have any good pics yet, but wondered if I should sell on ebay, auction house, dealer? Suggestions?

Even being in a PCGS slab, there are still many who buy the coin and don't care about the slab that it's in. I'd like to see pics. A lot is going to depend on the eye appeal of the coin.

Sold for $1301.00

Anyone catch that the winning bidder is "noerocks"? Kinda catchy given "coingate"

Dealer bid is 1300 ask if 1400. Your real issue will be getting anyone to accept the MS-64 bid. In MS-63, this coin has a bid of $280.00 ask $310.00 Anytime there is such a jump between grades, there will be wiggle room. Don't think for a second that buyers/dealers will accept the PCGS grade at face value.
There are 4 available on the dealer network currently in PCGS and NGC holders for $750. to $925.
If you decide to auction this coin, make sure that you put a reserve on it.

Hi TW,
Is this the same coin you referenced where the listing didn't match the coin received? Any response form the seller?

Cool, great that you have it off your chest that you informed him of the mixup.
I thought you said you weren't going to sell it? Why did you change your mind?-it is a pretty coin.

I'm not sure, just wondering what to do if I did decide to sell it. I like it a lot and am not hurting or anything. But want to know which direction to go in if and when I decide to sell. I really enjoy looking at it, and would like it more if I could get a few good pics of it.

If you do decide to sell this item, consider Heritage auctions. They tend to bring consistant prices. While the online auctions may spike here and there, consistency has its advantages.
