I found this penny in a bank roll. It looks like the #4 is doubled die.

That is normal metal flow. you don't see it on every coin so some notice it and think it is a DD. but in your case it is only metal flow with no premium

Just Jokin!!

Gary, please tell me what gave it away, that it's a spill-over. What did you see that made you certain. Not that I doubt you. I would like to know what to look for to further this knowledge. It is difficult for me to see any differences except one. and that is that at different angles of this #4 the straight lines did not appear straight. They curved off somewhere else. This is what I assume gave it away to your trained eye though I am not able to see it at the angle of the pic. I will keep this coin in a cardboard flip for future reference.
