I've decided on a full series to collect: silver Austrian 50 schillings from 1959 - 1978. I came up with lots of good reasons in my head:

- They're big and silver! Everyone loves big silver coins.
- Not American = Less American demand = Fewer weirdos marking them up on ebay in the name of Ron Paul and all that is not papery/backed by gold
- Obverse changes every year, making a nice collection to look at (I really like the common reverse as well)
- A short series with no rare mintmarks or known varieties to collect, so I could actually complete it
- A good chunk of my family is from Austria and I really enjoyed the country when I went there

The only problem is that they're 34mm in diameter and I have no idea what to hold them in. Will they fit nicely in a hole meant for a $20 double eagle? I'm hoping there's going to be a nice album available meant to hold $20 gold coins that'll fit them, but they're only a run of 19 years so I'm not sure if they'll even take up a whole 2 pages. Should I buy a bunch of 2x2s or what? I just don't know what's available or where to start.

Canadian silver dollars are 36mm,should be a close enough fit,and many optoins are readily available and reasonably priced for the dollars.

Maybe for a flip, but I can't see one fitting in a dollar album, which is a shame because that's one size I could actually get in a shop here. I have a 50 schilling and a 1966 dollar in front of me and they seem too different to work (the 50 schilling rattles pretty badly in my dollar capsule)...

2x2's come in sizes up to 39.5mm, after that you have to go with the 2.5x2.5 flips.
I use 2x2's all the time for all my Crown sized coins.

Dansco sells blank pages, including 36mm. Then you get a blank binder.

Here is a example
