Two of the cooler coins to turn up today in Dad's box of "unclassified" coins. Since we had no internet coin databases to speak of and really only had Krause as our do-all end all often times Dad would give up on trying to identify a coin he hadnt seen before. Whats cool is the box is a testament to his "feel" for a coin that maybe had some giddyup. I'm not talking three legged bison here......you know...an issue thats no way going in the 99 Cent bin. I mean, isn't his the kind of thing that hooked us all in the first place. AU coins from Borneo...... Yes...before you ask... I do know how lucky I am!

your French coin seems to have an overstamp "RF" - Republique Francaise.

Br N Borneo - sounds so exotic. It's now Sabah, a state within Malaysia. Beautiful place, but recently troubled by terrorists.
