We have lots of Gold and Silver shops here but few LCS. Will I have trouble selling bars versus ASE?

They seem to prefer ASEs but NTR bars do better than most here.

For the most part PMs from a reputable government mint will be more desired and easier to move since more people collect it. There are some bars though that carry large permiums so you cant say it for everything. You may do better on ebay depending on what the bars are

The LCSs in my area are consistent and reasonably fair but pretty tight with a buck in their buying poicies and practices. The "We Buy Gold" players vary widely.
They tend to be inconsistent and opportunistic and the "whatever the traffic will bear" concept is their guiding light. The LCSs have been around for many years
and are in the game for the long haul, so they're concerned about their reputations. The WBGSs come and go, have no concern for the long haul, and so have little
if any concern for their reputations.

My local county govt busted one local WBGS guy recently because he didn't use or even have a scale. He protested that he operated on the basis of "his good
reputation," his good relations with his customers and their trust in him.

Selling silver to any of the WBGSs in my area would have to be done with the utmost caution to avoid taking an unnecessary and inappropriate beating. I visited
a couple WBGSs just to check them out and just going in there made me feel uncomfortable. I felt like I was a lamb walking into a coyote den.

I agree with Bekiz's priority order of desirability of selling options. Fair $ via the forums, more $ but headaches and fees with ebay and the least $ from LCSs. As
for the WBGSs--that's swimming with the sharks. I think it's a risky option and don't recommend it.

Thanks for the advice. One of the reasons I stick with ASEs for stacking is the pricing here is pretty consistent.

ASEs (and I think CSMs too) may be regarded by some as boring, pedestrian and uninteresting, but... Their liquidity and price consistency are hard to argue with.

We seem to have a bit more flux with CSM, going from spot to about the same as ASE depending on what the store needs to stock. Demand for ASEs seem consistent enough to keep their premium.
