Every now and then I get onto the US ebay site and have a cruise around, in particular looking at the error coins. There are so many weird and wonderful coins which sell for so much less than the same error would if it was on an Australian coin.

Im sure I overpaid for the coin I picked out tonight but if it was an Australian coin of the same error it would be worth into the thousands. Here it is http://www.ebay.com/itm/16097245171....m1439.l2649

Ive picked up the odd US error coin here and there but I think i'll get into it a bit more now. The Aussie stuff is too darn expensive!

Can someone recommend an ebay seller who consistently lists reasonably priced US errors. I need a few I can trust. I dont really know what theyre worth and dont really care all that much because I enjoy what I get regardless but it would be nice to know I'm not getting totally fleeced.

Thanks

Try Fred Weinberg at:http://www.fredweinberg.com
He specializes in errors.
Bought from him numerous times when I was actively collecting errors.
He has inventory for all budgets and he use to do ebay auctions as well.
I quit doing ebay some years ago so I can't help you there.

It's funny how things work out. When ebay had gone Global, with separate listings for Countries outside the United States, I would cruise on other sites for errors as they were a whole lot cheaper for foreign errors then for USA errors.

Having been on a self imposed ban on both ebay and their sister PayPal since April 2006 due to account fraud, I do click on links to view what other members post here.

When I clicked on your coin, I noted that I had purchased many error coins from this seller and posted one of many positive feedbacks below, this one is from July 15, 2001.

[back then we would rate sellers with Gold, Platinum and Diamond sellers]
