This look like a VG Barber half. Would you agree?

This would definitely be marketed as VG (or better!) on ebay but it's pretty marginal for the grade. Add in the obverse rim dings and the faint scratch behind Liberty's ear and I'd expect a discount from whatever a solid VG example would cost. On the positive side, it looks to have original surfaces and natural color.

Actually I used my loop and then scanned the coin and can now see it is definitely VG using this scan I posted. I can see the L, I, T, Y, and part of the R and B in "LIBERTY". The scratch and the obverse and rim dings don't bother me much since the coin is well circulated and that can sometimes go with the territory. I have considered selling it on ebay for about $30 but am leaning toward keeping it.

Reverse makes me call it G6. Obverse could have been VG8, but nothing more than that.

The half above also came with these two. I got them all for $42. I am going to dump the one with the silver testing mark but maybe I should just let it sit in the sun and maybe it will re-tone?

In defense of the 1892 reverse:
A full rim with some denticles remaining is a VG-8 by my standards.
I was not distracted by the scratches on the obverse. These coins were USED!
50 cents was big money. I'm inclined to go VG-8 on the obverse well.

A little lesson in LIBERTY:

Y is the last to go, followed by T.
L is third, I fourth and B fifth.
E and R are the first to go. Often the lower portion of these two letters is weak even on an otherwise
Fine example.

You paid $42 for all three. That's $12 each. You could sell the two 1889s for at least $20 as junk and keep the '92.
Your cost for the '92 would be $22. That is about the bid for a '92 in good by dealers.

Lastly, a very good example as nice as yours is something to keep. They are difficult to locate.
