I can say around AU, but without sharper pics, with less dominant lighting, it's hard to say whether the surfaces are original. Also, something might be wrong with the rims, 2-5 o'clock on the obverse. I bet that if you check it in the past, threads with good pics got more graders interested. Report this Post to the Staff

Most likely it was at some point in the past 140+ years it's been kicking around. There would be no color designation on this coin as it is copper nickel hence the CN.
