Absolutely beautiful, but for me -- such is the stuff of which fantasies are made
Fat Freddy,
I'm 52 and never (well, almost never) waste money. I don't smoke or drink and keep my vices in check. I've been driving the same truck since 2003 which was two years old when I bought it. I have one toy and that's my avatar. My main objective when I buy a coin or metal is to buy when the price is right. I'm not out to fill holes or complete a set. I grab anything and everything. If it's underpriced, I'm there.
When I was in my 20's (1980s) the most I ever made was 5.50 per hour. I pawned my uncles ring so I could buy groceries. I counted every penny that went into the cart. I never lost that ring to the pawn man and have it today. It's a reminder of the poor old days.
It took me 30 years but I did OK. I could have done much better but I can't buy back time. About 7 years ago, I saw a man delivering pizza. He had the shirt and the magnetic sign on the roof of his not-so golden chariot. Not an uncommon sight when it involves a young man, however, when you see a 70+ year old man delivering pizza, this is your wake-up call. Don't be this guy. Never.
