In past I have purchased a .303 enfeild model 1 mk3 rifle that had been sporterized old girl must have had a long service life she had been rebarreled once in 1914 and again in 1942 with numerous tally marks on forearm and buttstock (kill tally?) But strangest part is in the id hole in buttstock someone had stuck in a 1936 silver shilling its still in vg shape I havent removed it I figure whom ever loved it enough to want it be their so their it remains to this day....odd that import rifle would have a aussie coin stuck in it anyone ever run across this sort of thing? Coins being stuck in things they normally shouldnt be? Lol Report this Post to the Staff
