were these things big sellers from Canada Post?

i went to ship a package today and saw one on the shelf and I was under the impression these were scooped up so I grabbed it for retail price ($140)

did I get a good deal here?

If I recall correctly, they were not big sellers from Canada Post; readily available at POs and on line.

I believe that a month or so after issue, the RCM actually restocked the sets on mint.ca because they were selling so slowly at canadapost.ca. They did sell out at mint.ca though and then were just available at random POs - apparently, they still are.

It's a beautiful set though.

It really is a nice set. I bought two, just after they came out. I was surprised that it turned out to be a slow seller. I still have the sets. One remains unopened, waiting for the next Titanic fad.
In another hundred years, maybe?

oh for sure. I'm not looking to flip it, I'm just wondering if I got a good 'pick' at my local PO lol.

i look forward to opening it when I get home. I'm not even sure what's in it but I already have the 1/2oz fine silver titanic coin.

It doesn't have the silver coin, but the colorized quarter and silver-plated 50c coin. It's a nice set, but too expensive imho.
I bought four after seeing it in person. Pain to sell though again if you're interested...

Yes, I'd say you got a good pick. A nice set like this at original price is a good thing. My wife likes to show off the set when we have guests.

I scooped one up at release price at a local PO recently myself. My mother in law wanted it. It is an attractive set, but I agree $140 plus tax was a little steep.

In the local PO's near me there is a set on the shelf, for issue price.
Whoever wants it - welcome.

I personally prefer silver edition of Titanic coin.
