Hi everyone, 1st post and I'm already asking for something!

We have said coin, we actually have the entire series that we're passing down to kids eventually, but we're missing the sleeve and certificate of authenticity for this coin. Does anyone have this coin who would be willing to unfold the certificate, scan both sides and email it to me so I can just make a new certificate? Or know anywhere I could possibly find a real one? The sleeve I guess I'll just try some local coin shops.

Thanks in advance.

It's probably not the most cost effective suggestion but I guess it all depends how much time you have on your hands. Packaging is very rarely sold on ebay without the coin however coins are frequently sold without the complete packaging; albeit usually at a discount. Just buy yourself another coin with the full packaging and sell the one you have to partially offset the cost.

Here's the description of the coin if that helps you:

Toy trains have long been a part of Holiday celebrations. Some believe it all began when regular passenger rail service became available in North America. Imagine how people of that bygone era must have marvelled at these extraordinary machines that could whisk them off to unknown places like magic. Suddenly, families could get together for Holiday celebrations as never before. Trains became a vehicle for childhood dreams and adult aspirations, and before long, miniature toy versions were being proudly displayed beneath Christmas trees.

How irresistible these cherished reproductions must have been for tiny hands â€" a fascination that has undoubtedly stuck; the next time you see a Holiday train, pay special attention to the sense of wonder and romance that stirs deep within you.

This 50-cent coin features a toy train emerging from beneath a beautifully decorated Christmas tree. The design is enhanced with lenticular 3D colour to create a captivating sense of motion. The obverse features the portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, by Susanna Blunt.

I think this is the best what you can do, if you really need the COA + external sleeve.

I didnt buy this coin. Boycotted it so to speak because the mint called it a Holiday Train rather then a Christmas Train.

Never thought of buying another complete unit and selling the spare coin alone, probably is the easiest way, good call.
Thanks for the idea and description, I'll keep my eyes open for the right deal but will use that description to make a temp until then, still have lots of time.
