It looks like a text book AU-50, possibly as high as 55. On the reverse, the circulation contact marks (the discolor/off grey) between "States Of, In God We Trust" & the eagles head is a dead giveaway for circulation. As well the other fields and rubs on the high points of the devices indicate circulation, but the easiest way to spot it was where I first mentioned, it's classic for an AU coin.

It's a really nice looking Morgan, looks like it has great luster still! Again welcome!!

First of all, to CCF uncledave. I'm thinking your original posted photos were not very flattering and this is actually an MS63ish grade Morgan based on your second close up of the reverse. Better quality photos of the obverse and reverse would definitely help. What does the label say on the holder?

I'm not sure I buy into the concept that the chatter on the reverse can only be formed by circulation; remember, most of these Morgans (especially Philly ones) lived in bags for years, banging against each other every time they were moved or another bag landed on top.

My mistake, from this new photo it looks much more like bag clatter than Circulation marks... But from only the first photo that's sure what it looked like, I don know I it was the angle of the photo or what but the new pic looks much cleaner with far fewer, lighter marks..

Some more, better photos would definitely help out. If MS (which in light of the new pic I'm leaning towards) I'd say MS-63. What's the slab say?

It's not like you don't have an important point there, though. Getting a feel for what is, and is not, a bagmark is maybe the most important way to figure out "slider" Morgans. That's usually easier on the obverse than the reverse, and this one's close, but I've used similar words to yours in the past, and likely will in the future.
