Hmm..far be it for me to be a grading authority, but in the UK we go by eye and we dont use the sheldon scale (well, we do, but not when we grade our way). Id call it Good.

But yeah, I dont do grading. It just looks alright. The gunk might be dropping the grade - It could be quite nice and I'm misinterpretting photos.

About xf-40 maybe 45(IMO) I would not go any highier.

Thanks. You used to be able to pull coins like this out of the scrap silver tubs at coin dealers in the US. I have a jarful of common sterling threepence and sixpence that I bought by weight for melt price. Nothing numismatically rare, but more interesting than common US silver.

Thanks for a better picture than my iphone can do. It looks like they're selling for more than melt these days, but the slabbed EF45 is a better-looking coin. The dark blotches on mine are uneven tarnish on an otherwise bright coin; possibly retoning after an old cleaning.
